The RDLN panel, one of a series of events held by Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO's) during the meeting of governmental representatives at the UN, took place on March 3, 2011 at the United Church Center.   Titled " Rural Women, Technology, and Access to Education, Training and Employment, " the panel was composed of six rural women from the RDLN network who presented their concerns, issues and recommendations for rural women according to this year’s CSW theme.

The panelists focused on issues affecting their respective communities including access to computers, barriers for farmworker women, rural women’s participation in advocacy, the importance of strengthening local infrastructure, and entrepreneurship and micro-enterprise for rural communities. The presentations were followed by dialogue with women attending from around the world.  Starry Krueger, President of the Rural Development Leadership Network, moderated the session.
